Summit has performed all types of residential construction including new home construction, whole home renovations, additions, bathroom renovations, kitchen renovations, and renovations to garage and carriage houses.

Summit has provided services to commercial clients since 2001. From showroom space to offices, we have been sensitive to our clients’ needs concerning both budget and time and have successfully met those needs.

Relationships with commercial subcontractors, architects and local authorities have proven vital to the process providing our clients with competitive pricing, creative concepts and an efficient construction process.

The experience of Stephen Szczecinski, the president of Summit Construction Services Inc. is a notable benefit to our commercial clients. Steve has had a 28 year construction career in commercial construction and has been the project manager of 94 million dollars worth of work in the Savannah area.

Summit has provided construction management services to both private clients and large general contractors.

We have provided budget analysis, scheduling, procurement and on site inspections to owners who wanted more organization on their projects.

In other cases, Summit was hired by another general contractor to act as  on site Project Manager in the Savannah area.  Summit provided client interaction, procurement, scheduling, submittal review, project documentation, punch out, turnover and overall responsibility for the projects. Summit has managed each of the new Savannah Country Day Middle and Lower School buildings (approx. 18 million dollars) as well as the New Savannah Golf Club. (10 million dollars)

Summit has also provided estimating services and cost information to local architectural firms and clients helping both gauge the direction of the design of their projects while considering budget implications.

Summit has experience in assisting in mediation as well as providing support for attorneys engaged in construction related issues.

We have worked directly for local mediators and have supplied pricing information that acts as a tool to aid in the mediation process.  In many cases, Summit was awarded the repairs that were the subject of the mediations.  Our experience and fair and impartial pricing were attractive to all parties involved and ultimately provided the solution to the issues in question.

We have also worked directly for local attorneys acting as an expert witness in mediation and arbitration.  Additionally, we have provided consultation to the legal community concerning construction related issues as they pertain to their clients.  Summit has provided document research under the direction of the attorney to search for important facts, documentation, etc. that would support the overall case.

Summit also has experience working for bonding companies providing research to their bond claim counsel, reviewing the accounting status of projects and subcontractors and ultimately helping with recovery to the bond claim.

Summit Construction values the art of historic renovation and has experience working in Savannah’s Landmark District. Through these many projects, we have become familiar with the special requirements, subcontractors and techniques necessary to work successfully on historic properties. We have worked with architects and consultants specializing in historic properties and have performed work for clients pursuing tax credits for their renovation projects. Because we live in such a unique environment, Summit understands the necessity and possesses the desire to preserve the original structures.
